The Dutch School San Diego (DSSD) was started in 2001 by a group of enthusiastic parents. Our school hours are Monday afternoon from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. At this moment, we have 24 students, divided into three groups. The youngest children (the "Onderbouw") are being taught by Juf Greet while the older children (the "Middenbouw" and "Bovenbouw") are being taught by Juf Marjolein. She is also the coordinator of the school. Ingrid Wilson and Tjitske Vandervort are substitute teachers. The school can not work without the help of parent volunteers.
The DSSD is using 2 classrooms and the auditorium of the San Diego French International School. During the break, the children can enjoy the play area with a number of play structures. There is also a picnic area for snack time. |
