Throughout the year, the DSSD organizes a number of fun activities.
First of all, twice a year we have an Open House during which the parent and children can meet the teachers and other parents and can check out the facilities.
In addition, we have a real school trip at the end of the year (in June).
Of course, being Dutch we cannot ignore "Sinterklaas". The DSSD is always prominently present at the Sinterklaas party of the Dutch Society San Diego. The children perform songs and dances while the teachers and volunteers provide craft activities.
Finally, a number of dedicated and energetic parents always organize a Queens Day party. Typical Dutch games, along with typical Dutch food, ensure for a festive atmosphere.
